Dirty shot
Also known as dirty single, dirty frame.
A composition in which part of another performer or foreground object deliberately intrudes into the frame.
In practice
A dirty single or over-the-shoulder can preserve spatial connection and scale. Continuity of the foreground shape, eyeline, and movement matters across coverage.
