The practice of maintaining consistent action, eyelines, props, wardrobe, and screen direction across takes.
In practice
Script supervision and departments track performance, timing, props, wardrobe, hair, makeup, lighting, camera, sound, and screen direction so separately photographed material can cut together. Deliberate discontinuity is a creative choice; accidental mismatch is a preventable handoff failure.
