Jump cut
Also known as jumpcut.
A visibly discontinuous cut between similar framings or moments that makes time or position appear to jump.
In practice
It may be an intentional rhythmic device or an unwanted continuity break; cutaways, alternate angles, reframing, or sound design can change how it reads.
