C-stand
Also known as Century stand, grip stand, gobo stand.
A three-legged grip stand with a column and arm for positioning flags, reflectors, and small fixtures.
In practice
The nesting base, riser, grip head, and arm position small modifiers and accessories. The load should tighten the grip head rather than loosen it, the largest leg should face the load, and a sandbag does not make an unsafe overhead rig acceptable.
