Boom up
Also known as raise the boom, mic up.
An instruction to raise a microphone boom, camera boom, crane, or similar supported arm; the intended device must be clear from context.
In practice
On a sound set it usually asks the boom operator to lift the microphone out of frame. On crane work it may refer to raising the arm, so departments should use precise confirmation during complex moves.
