Arm up

Also known as boom up crane arm.

A crane or jib instruction to raise the camera arm while preserving the planned move and clearances.

In practice

The operator, grip team, and camera team coordinate the move using the equipment’s approved controls and load limits. It is distinct from tilting the camera head upward.
