Block shooting

Also known as shooting in blocks, block schedule.

Scheduling and filming multiple scenes, episodes, or related material together because they share locations, cast, sets, or production resources.

In practice

Block shooting can reduce moves and repeated setup, but it increases continuity, script-tracking, and performer-preparation demands because story order may be fragmented.
