Package validation

Also known as delivery validation, package QC.

Automated and human checking that a delivery package is complete, correctly structured, synchronized, and within specification.

In practice

Validation can cover files, checksums, naming, metadata, codecs, color, audio, captions, encryption, and playback; passing a parser does not replace editorial quality control.
