Crossover

Also known as backstage crossover.

A backstage route allowing people to travel from one side of the stage to the other without being seen.

In practice

The route may pass behind scenery or outside the room; production keeps it lit, quiet, unobstructed, access-controlled, and coordinated with moving equipment.
