Crab dolly
Also known as crab-steer dolly, steerable dolly.
A steerable camera dolly capable of moving laterally or diagonally as well as forward and backward without relying solely on straight track.
In practice
Crab steering supports compound moves and precise repositioning, but floor condition, wheel mode, steering coordination, payload, and clearance must be checked before rehearsal.
