Cover set

Also known as weather cover, cover location.

An alternate interior or protected location scheduled so production can continue when weather or another condition prevents planned exterior work.

In practice

A useful cover set must be genuinely ready: cast, permits, art, lighting, sound, transport, script pages, and schedule implications all need advance planning. Starting on it too early may remove the contingency.
