Completion bond

Also known as completion guarantee.

A guaranty arrangement intended to protect financiers against specified risks that a production will not be completed and delivered.

In practice

The bond company reviews budget, schedule, personnel, contracts, insurance, cash flow, and progress, and its intervention rights are defined by the bond documents.
