Cardioid subwoofer array

Also known as cardioid sub array, directional sub array.

A low-frequency array configured with spacing, delay, and polarity to reduce radiation in selected directions.

In practice

The technique can reduce stage or neighborhood spill, but performance changes with frequency and geometry and requires measurement, correct deployment, and suitable processing.
