Bump
Also known as pay bump, rate bump, adjustment.
Informal production term for additional pay triggered by specified work, conditions, equipment, wardrobe, hazards, or an upgraded performer classification.
In practice
A bump is not one universal entitlement or rate. The applicable agreement, deal memo, payroll classification, and approved voucher determine whether and how it is paid.
