Blown highlight
Also known as blown out, blow the window, clipped highlight.
An image area exposed or processed beyond useful highlight detail, often described as clipped or blown out.
In practice
A production may intentionally let windows or practicals clip, but the decision should be judged against the camera signal, monitoring transform, latitude, and finishing intent rather than appearance on an uncalibrated display.
