Blackwrap

Also known as black foil, cinefoil, Cinefoil.

A heat-resistant black foil used to flag, mask, or shape light around a fixture or accessory.

In practice

Crews form the matte-black metal foil into small flags, snoots, masks, or spill control around compatible fixtures. It can become hot and sharp, so it must not block ventilation, contact a lamp, or replace a rated accessory.
